A good day to make bread!

It has been rainy and stormy in San Diego, so I decided that today would be a good day to make our Herbs de Provence Boule bread. It is so easy! It comes premixed with a yeast packet. Just add a cup and a half of water and mix until sticky. Cover with saran wrap and a tea towel. Let it sit for 12 hours or more. It will double in size. When ready to bake you will need oven proof pot with a lid and a floured cutting board. Heat oven to 450 degrees. Put ungreased Dutch oven (oven proof pot with lid) in oven to get hot. Turn dough onto heavily floured surface, turn dough to cover in flour and shape into ball. Let rest until pot is hot. Bring pot out and place dough inside. Put lid back on and place in oven. Bake for 30 minutes then remove lid and bake for another 15 minutes. Enjoy crusty, rustic boule with butter, cheese or your favorite jelly.
